first seal; video/action for new bark.
[ This post could take place anywhere. There's no defining shot of a background that's instantly defining - just trees, and sky, and Rin. If it weren't for the music - New Bark theme, easily recognizable to anyone who knows their tunes - it would be hard to pin down where she was. Rin herself looks native for a given value of native, too. She's swapped out to the extra set of clothing in her pack - "lass" - and instead of a hitai-ate, there's a plain blue headband. There's also a smile, if a cautious one. These things seem pretty harmless so far, and there doesn't seem to be any benefit from not using it, so. ]
Hi! So, to preface this, let me say I did read the guides given to me at the start of this. [ That's brisk and matter-of-fact more than anything else. And Rin had. She'd done that first thing, because information was key. And she's decided against asking where she is, since...well, she's scanned plenty of those entries already, and apparently the answers are "Johto", "Pokemon", and "multiple worlds", which she's not sure what to do with. ] But what I'm most interested in wasn't really covered there. The warnings about berries were helpful, but...
[ Not really the most complete informational packet, and she'd definitely like more to rely on, if at all possible. It was her job to know this sort of thing, if she was going to be responsible for the pink thing following her around. "This sort of thing" being... ] Does anyone have any tips on what other poisonous substances we might encounter here? Or any pointers on keeping your Pokemon healthy? I do plan to learn what I can from the centers - but I'm a bit between places right now, so it's not really practical.
[ There's a little sigh. ] I am trained in first aid and medicine, and I presume a lot of it will work on them, but I'm not...entirely sure how the different physiologys might change how that works. So - I'm all ears. And thanks in advance.
...And if anyone has any suggestions as to places that might be good to visit, that'd be fine, too. [ Apparently "home" isn't an option, so...some sort of direction might be nice, rather than her current lack of it. ]

[ She's just...going to blink at that. While she'd been reading things, and knows that people lose powers...Rin hadn't yet run up against the "not human" clause before. ]
Oh, no. I just figured...do as the locals do, right? It's easier to blend if you're not dressed entirely different from the natives.
Video
*And then Imogen says the first thing to come to mind.*
Except the locals are used to this, but I am kinda surprised none of the ninjas came up with this when any of them arrived.
Video
The ninja...?
Video
*She'll just trail off here because DUH!*
Video
Video
I mean I know... *Starts counting on her fingers, once she gets past five she forgets that.* A lot of ninjas from there, and you're the only one to do the low profile thing.
I'm Imogen, by the way! *Twirl and curtsy. Then energetic waviging.*
Video
[ She's not too bothered, since her Sensei didn't seem to think it was necessary to hide who or what they were. Nor did Tsunade, for that matter. ]
I'm Rin; it's nice to meet you.
Video
*Priorities.*
Nice to meet you too. So... are any of the other ninjas coming to meet you? Cause most of them have been here long enough to have at least a few Pokemon to make the journey a bit faster. Unless you want to travel on your own, that's cool too!
Video
[ Rin shrugs, a little. ]
I believe I'm meeting up with my Sensei...but I'm already with Tsunade-sama, and Xion decided to join us as well, so that's three of us to start walking. I'm not sure what all the others in this place are doing or aren't doing; I don't want to put anyone out, though.
Video
You'll be more inconvenienced than any of the others. Cherrygrove is three day's walk, anyone with a flying Pokemon and a zephyr badge *Imogen flicks her earring... which is her zephyr badge.* can manage that trip in a few hours.
But you've got company, so if you do have to walk you'll have more people to talk to than your Pokemon friends.
Video
Yes, true. Company does make the time pass more quickly, I think.
Video
*Imogen takes off the earring to show it to the camera. Then puts it back on.*
Well, they let you do stuff. I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation for why badges let you do stuff, but I rather just say it's magic! This one lets your Pokemon fly you places. Much faster than walking.
It does! I was on my own when I went to Cherrygrove. But it wasn't so bad, I could talk to Omen, my starter Pokemon, make up lyrics for the music that plays, dance in the street!
...Well, if the route had a street, I'd be dancing in it.
Video
[ The earrings, she means. Rin's not really crafty, but...wow, she wouldn't mind badge earrings. :T ]
Magic makes as much sense as anything else here, I think. Do you have people ou travel with now, then?
