[ This post could take place anywhere. There's no defining shot of a background that's instantly defining - just trees, and sky, and Rin. If it weren't for the music - New Bark theme, easily recognizable to anyone who knows their tunes - it would be hard to pin down where she was. Rin herself looks native for a given value of native, too. She's swapped out to the extra set of clothing in her pack - "lass" - and instead of a hitai-ate, there's a plain blue headband. There's also a smile, if a cautious one. These things seem pretty harmless so far, and there doesn't seem to be any benefit from not using it, so. ]

Hi! So, to preface this, let me say I did read the guides given to me at the start of this. [ That's brisk and matter-of-fact more than anything else. And Rin had. She'd done that first thing, because information was key. And she's decided against asking where she is, since...well, she's scanned plenty of those entries already, and apparently the answers are "Johto", "Pokemon", and "multiple worlds", which she's not sure what to do with. ] But what I'm most interested in wasn't really covered there. The warnings about berries were helpful, but...

[ Not really the most complete informational packet, and she'd definitely like more to rely on, if at all possible. It was her job to know this sort of thing, if she was going to be responsible for the pink thing following her around. "This sort of thing" being... ] Does anyone have any tips on what other poisonous substances we might encounter here? Or any pointers on keeping your Pokemon healthy? I do plan to learn what I can from the centers - but I'm a bit between places right now, so it's not really practical.

[ There's a little sigh. ] I am trained in first aid and medicine, and I presume a lot of it will work on them, but I'm not...entirely sure how the different physiologys might change how that works. So - I'm all ears. And thanks in advance.

...And if anyone has any suggestions as to places that might be good to visit, that'd be fine, too. [ Apparently "home" isn't an option, so...some sort of direction might be nice, rather than her current lack of it. ]

Two weeks of this cave, and I sort of kept getting attacked, and it was pitch black in there...

No, go to a center first - or wherever they fix up people. Don't go flying until you get all that looked at! [ She could look at it herself, but...! If he were understating it at all, or even if not - Rin was fine, and therefore was not the priority. ]

Then you can start moving. Not a second before, okay?

And I'm fine. I'm with a Sannin, so I don't think I'm likely to be anything but safe.

[The look on his face says that he's really really not liking what you're saying here Rin.]

[He lowered his voice a bit, peering into the video with pleading eyes. He wasn't just trying to be convincing, he was really that upset by the idea of waiting.]

Obito...just get checked out first. If there is anything wrong, you'll exacerbate it by travelling. You know that as well as I do - or you should.

[ She can't stop him, of course, and he promised, so she trusts it...

But she feels obligated to fret. ]

It's not a lie! I'd bring the person who wrapped them but he kind of... vanished on me about a week ago. [He paused, shaking his head sharply to dispell how unhappy he was about that. The few hours that had followed that particular unpleasant surprise had been... horrible.]

And I haven't been traveling alone either, so don't worry.

Shino wouldn't have let me get away with that either.

Is "Shino" who you're travelling with, then? ...If the person travelling with you thinks you're okay to go, it's okay.

But... yeah. Eh heh. [This wasn't really how he intended to bring up the whole 'named a guy after you' thing at all but....] Rin and Hope vanished on me last Sunday a few hours before Shino appeared.

Things were... really messed up for a while and I got stuck in a pitch black cave for two weeks.

[ That context helps a lot, and she looks enlightened - and relieved. If it's another ninja, he should be okay, for sure.

[Of course she'd pick up on it. he was kind of hoping that him glossing over the names might bounce her over it but... no. Clearly not.]

Yeah... Rin was with me when I ended up in them, just me and him the first couple days. [So awkward using her name to her when he knows why the boy in question has that name. Oh yes.] He's someone I knew from when I first got here, one of the three who look like him that are in this place.

He's a friend.

Hope... came at a good time since we'd lost all combat capable and light producing creatures by the time he got to us a couple days later. He's not as civilian as I thought he was.

Some days after that, they both vanished at once and... I already said the rest so.

Yeah.

Well, I'll definitely want to meet another Rin! Though I suppose this makes me "girl Rin", right? Once we find them, at least.

...I should probably stop taking up your time, unless you can talk while flying.

[ But she doesn't want to hang up. :T ]

Haha... I don't want to hang up either. [He tried to make it light, but there was a certain heaviness to his words, something that said that it was a lot more intense than he was trying to play it off as.]

But I'll stay on as long as I can. I'm actually getting my fliers situated to come get you right now.

As long as you can fly safely while talking...I'm okay with that.

[ She keeps her tone light, but...well, it's not like he doesn't know that she knows he ~~supposedly~~ died. She'd held his hand as long as she could. ]

Got it. I'm with Tsunade-sama and Xion, which...I already said that, didn't I.

[He flashed her a little grin.] Yeah you did. I'll poke at Tsunade-hime sometime on my way over too, I have a couple things to tell her before she meets up with everyone else.

And hey! Kiyo would be ticked if I fell off her mid flight.

She's a big orange dragon. Not as big as Tobi, my other big orange dragon, but I've had her way longer. I have Kaida too, used to be a little songbird, that one.

Then I have Fuuin... who is very small and will just have to be a contingency flier I think.

How small? I mean, aren't they all big enough to carry people...?

Okay so not very, but shorter than I am?

It makes riding awkward. Still, better than before Kaida got big, she used to have to carry people in her claws.

When the Itachi fiasco happened she er, kind of got used as a switch out mid air? That was... fun...
